May

The Twins had a great time in Soccer.

Cousins came to play for Memorial Day. Crew found a new best friend, Koa.
These cousins are 6 months apart and both are squirrely as can be.

Blog up date. YEA!!!
Well, its been some time since I have posted. Summer will do that to you. To be honest, I get so sick of the junk on facebook, that I rarely get online anymore to check on personal updates. Even my own!!
(Can I just throw it in here that I really dont like facebook. I know, I know, I must be the only person in the world that has facebook anaphylaxis. I just cant wrap my brain around spending that much time on the computer or phone. I mean there are people that post something 4-6 times a day. Even 1 a day seems to much but I can forgive that. But please...every thought that passes through your brain, every action you take during the day, every bowel movement...sheesh. But ok, enough of that soapbox).

ANYWAY-
The summer has been pretty uneventful. We have spent the summer looking forward to our "summer vacation" which was at the END of the long break. So the first few months we were just stewing in the heat and swimming. ALOT.  Most of my personal time was spent getting all the laurels (16-18 year olds) in our ward ready for girls camp, which has also finally come and gone; and I spend a good bit of my evenings prepping for Zumba. Its my only distraction from the monotony of my life to be honest. Plus, I love to dance so its fun to make up choreography and have middle aged women show me how "sexy" they can give it back to me. No seriously, thats what I love about Zumba.

Anyway, I will post some events in order. Even though the pictures have been sitting here doing nada for months. Please forgive me. I will be better about the blog now that school is starting again. Promise.

What do we do when the twins are at school? Nothing at all...
Did you see the Solar Eclipse? Turns out, the best view was from the Northern AZ, southern Utah area. Mike and Steve decided to drive up to the TUBA CITY area to view it in all its amazing glory. :)

Ode to Asher

I wanted to show you some of the things Asher loves. He is a funny kid. Maybe your kiddos will like these too. Asher watches this a few times a week. He loves the music. He is sad when they cut the cheese. No pun intended. Asher LOVES classical music. Fantasia is a favorite. This is another. He LOVES this. I wish I could find it on DVD. If you know where to get it, let me know. Obessed with Splash Mountain...YES he is! He watches this full movie on youtube. Here is a little clip. We are into Classic oldschool cartoon. The new cartoons just cant compete. Here is an Asher favorite. Notice its all Classical music. This is seriously one of the cutest cartoons ever. He will tell you that he was born in HERSHEY. We havent corrected him by saying Harrisburg yet. As a result he loves the chocolate factory and watches how the kisses are made. Again, a viewing staple in our home. Two songs about the solar system that Asher sings. Funny eh?

Our sweet little Asher turned 4!
I will admit it, I didnt do a very good job with Ashers Birthday celebration. As the day got closer and closer I realized that I had over committed myself with activities on his birthday. When he asked me for a Mickey Mouse cake, I went to pintrest and found some wonderful ideas. Unfortunately, I didnt have time do make the fondant or be very creative. This is what I made in 30 min. A Mickey head. Its not pretty. I filled it with Vanilla Pudding and it tasted delicious. Way better than it looks. Add a few hours at Peter Piper Pizza, games, food and tokens and Asher didnt mind the ugly cake.
A few things about Asher:
Asher is a good friend. He is always telling us he loves us. He loves music and is always singing. If you ask him what he wants to be he will say " I want to be with the musical instruments". I think he means in a band.
He is fasinated by the mechanics of things. He wants to know how everything works. He loves books about the human body. He also loves learning about the solar system. His favorite planet is Venus because "it has bolvanos (volcanos) on it and poison gas". Asher loves anything Disney. Splash Mountain is his favorite ride.Im willing to bet he is the only kid his age that has watched "Song of the South" all the way through more than once.
He is so curious. I will post some of his favorite youtube views so you can see how his mind works. He such a fun kid. Its a joy to be his mother. Happy Birthday to my Asher-Basher. I love you.

Guess who was student of the month in April?
