DisneyWorld and Clearwater Beach
We had a great time at Disney World in Orlando,FL. The drive wasn't much fun. Who wouldn't be ornery after being in a car for 17 hrs. It was worth all the monotony of the drive. We spent the evening at my uncle & aunts right by Cocoa Beach. We really enjoyed getting in the ocean after such a long drive.
We woke the next morning and drove over to Disney world for our long awaited day with Mickey and Friends. The boys were so excited.
We headed straight to Splash Mountain and the Thundermountain Railroad. The boys love roller coasters. Tanner went on Splash Mt twice, he loved it so much. I cant say enough about fast passes. They were so helpful in getting on the rides. My favorite rides were the old ones that they have remastered. Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Tiki Room were fantastic! Mickeys PhilharMagic was a 3D movie that was so neat. Asher loved it and asked to see it again when it was over.
We rode every ride we wanted to and enjoyed spending time with grandma and grandpa Chamberlain. Hunter, Taylor, Loa, Taj and Mia were all there as well. Taylor and his family had flown in from Gilbert,AZ to join us. It was such a fun day for all.
We ended the night with the light parade at Disney that was so fun. All the kids actually stayed awake for it and then crashed in the car on the drive back home.
sing with me :"Its a small, small world"
The boys loved seeing the princesses as much as Mia. The only problem is the BIG BOYS loved seeing them too. I love Taylor & Hunter in this pic.
Taj, Zach & Tanner loving on Belle.
Cinderella, we love you. Bibbity Bobbity BOO!
The gang at the Magic Kingdom
Tan-Man at Cinderella's Castle
We are family.
From Orlando we drove the 2 hours south west, to where I lived in my high school years. Saftey Harbor, Fl. It was fun to see our old house and the resturant I managed in high school. I missed the real greek salads that only we made with hidden Greek potatoe salad inside. YUM! It tasted just as good to me. The resturant has moved locations which makes it difficult for me to really reminisce. It will never be the same without our friend, the crazy Jehovahs Witness, Brian singing and screaming in the back while he cooks your food. And whats a great resturant without some live ducks clucking around the dinning room? I missed that part of the dinning experience. :)
We checked into our hotel and hit the beaches I frequented as a kid. Clearwater Beach. It was heavenly. Its one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen. The water was clear enough that Mike was diving to the bottom to grab hermit crabs for the kids to play with. At one point we had a small pool filled with 5 crabs. We really enjoyed our days at the beach. Of course what would a trip be like without me getting sun burned. I got fried and paid for it for the next week.
All in all, we had an amazing but short time in Flordia. My appologies to the friends we didnt have time to see. We love you and hope you will forgive us for not dropping in. We are jealous that you have such beautiful beaches in your backyard. You can keep your humidity! Florida was a blast.
